I was accepted into the 2026 AWS Community Builders program in the Developer Tools category.

The project I applied with was aws-ssh, a small CLI tool I built to make connecting to EC2 instances through AWS Session Manager faster and more ergonomic.

That makes this especially meaningful to me because aws-ssh started as a simple developer workflow improvement, not as a large product or platform. It was built to reduce friction in day-to-day AWS usage, and it is good to see that kind of practical tool resonate beyond my own setup.

I am also happy that the acceptance is specifically under Developer Tools. That is the category that fits how I usually like to build things: small, focused tools that remove unnecessary complexity and make existing systems easier to use.

I expect this program to be a good excuse to keep writing, keep shipping, and keep improving the tools and workflows I care about.

If you want to look at the project:

This is one of those milestones that feels both small and important at the same time.
